As I told you the other day, I have been studying one semester in England, and the teachers there used the type of assessment we are learning through these sessions.
Today we have been covering the "Summative Assessment". It shows the teacher the achievements of the students at the end of the academic year in each subject, what means that it is retrospective.
In my opinion it is a good option to use in class as it's going to inform the teacher for the future teaching of the student, it provides accurate information and it gives a numerical measurement, which in my opinion is better than using sentences like: need to improve, congratulations, you could have done it better,...
