A week ago, the teacher told us that we have to do a project in groups about an activity and its assessment.
So today, as it was the last day of unit 5, it was the day to present our projects.
Firstly, we presented what our project was about: Grammar - "The possessives", we did a power-point to show the classroom the level, the age, the skills, the language,... needed for the activity. Secondly, we described the activity in which the students have to draw their family members and also to write one or two sentences introducing them.
With this activity, the students were able to practice the possessives and also to remember the vocabulary topic "The Family".
Thirdly, we decided to do a self-assessment, so we gave the students a sheet that they have to complete by their own with green, orange or red color pen depending on how good or bad they did the activity.
In my opinion, it is a good way to finish a unit as it allows the students to put into practice what they have learnt the previous days and also to develop themselves when presenting a project, what means using their speaking skills.
