LISTEN AND DO

Unit 4. Teaching English to young children is going to be developed, showed and taught by all of us. 

Our teacher divided us into ten groups in order to present the different contents of this unit.

My presentation is about Writing in English, but you have to wait until next week if you want to know what it is about.

Today's contents were:

• Listen and do
• Listen and make
• Festivals

I'm going to write about the first one, given that I really liked the activities the group proposed for teaching the content they have to develop.

LISTEN AND DO

Listening help the student to learn. If we teach the students by listening activities they are going to have an active enjoy while learning, they are going to acquire different skills, they are going to practice and learn pronunciation and intonation, and they are going to understand several ideas which will make them learn new vocabulary words, actions, verbs,...

The activities that are useful for this content are:

• Giving instructions (using gestures if necessary)
• Listen and identify
• Listen and doing (with physical response)
• Listen and perform (imitate, act,...)

I have learnt with this presentation different activities that are going to be useful in my future as a teacher, the one that I liked the most was the one in which we have to do while acting what the teacher (in this case, our classmates) was saying/reading. 

In my opinion this is a really good and educative activity as the students are going to learn while playing. 

The best way to teach is by an active learning from the students, and most students have an active learning while playing
